The design of health care facilities has become a set of choices among the latest advances in medical equipment technology, the ever widening set of codes and standards limiting their application, and the rapidly evolving reorganization of health care delivery under the new government reimbursement programs. The challenge to the Program Manager and engineers is to design the most redundant, failure free, and yet simple to operate system of utilities, while respecting the ever-tightening construction cost restraints.
R+A achieves successful results within these constraints by our participation in the activities of the Code agencies, and in Professional Societies dedicated to the study of fail-safe systems design.
Les Rosenberg has been Co-Chair of the Building Committee of the Cedars-Sinai Board of Directors, for numerous capital projects, including the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion. Les provided the strategic oversight and project management expertise on the project, which was delivered on-time and below-budget. Les provided guidance to the project delivery team in a collaborative team environment.
